Machine Gun Kelly played the drummer of Mötley Crüe in the biopic.
Rapper Machine Gun Kelly shared a timelapse video of his daily transformation to portray Tommy Lee in The Dirt .
The film, based on the biography written by Neil Strauss , was released by Netflix on March 22nd.
Kelly, who plays Lee in the film, shared the makeup process she went through during filming. The clip shows that all of the rapper's tattoos were erased with two layers of spray paint. Then, a wig was applied and replicas of Lee's tattoos were placed on Kelly's body.
