Since rapper Machine Gun Kelly shifted his sound towards something closer to rock, he has faced harsh criticism from the public and has even gotten into a feud with Corey Taylor . The latest accusation against the musician is that he is allegedly faking playing guitar during his live performances.

According to Dexerto TikTok user named Gunnar DüGrey went viral on the platform with a video of Machine Gun Kelly on stage in which the guitar's power button could be seen in a position that suggested the instrument was not plugged in and that the musician was pretending to play over the music.

Gun Kelly, in turn, responded to the accusations with a sarcastic video on the same platform where he showed that the button design was inverted in DüGrey's video and proved that when the switch points downwards it means his guitar is on, not off, as the internet user had suggested.

The former rapper also made scathing comments such as "You should watch the performance, you can clearly hear it live" and "You're wearing a Liquid Death . I'm also a partial owner of that company, so you're promoting me while criticizing me, but go ahead!".

Following the backlash, Gunnar DüGrey made a new video apologizing to Machine Gun Kelly and admitting he didn't know it was possible to turn the guitar knob.
