Vocalist speaks in interview
In an interview with a German website, Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows was asked which current Metal or Rock bands have caught his attention: "Gojira for me. They are incredible."
He continued: “I was listening to Wolfmother the other day, and Gojira, and I thought, 'Man, these bands probably had the same influences, but they did totally different things with them. It's probably Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, but both bands put their own spin and their own interpretation of Rock.'"
For me, a band like Gojira brings something special to the mix. And David Bowie's last album, for me, was truly groundbreaking; "Blackstar" is incredible. It has a lot of really good and influential stuff on it
