Avenged Sevenfold 's new album has finally received a release date. While details are scarce, M. Shadows confirmed the release before the band's return to the stage.
There are still no singles or title released. “The reason we don’t talk much about the music is because we’ve found that every word we say is amplified, and there’s no way to describe the music, for example, ‘Oh, [the album] is heavy, it’s fast…’ What can we say?”, Shadows explained to the Louder Than Life festival channel (via Kerrang! ) . “It’s a work of art that we’ve been working on for a long time, we had a lot of personal things that we’ll explain later.”
The band's first album since The Stage , their eighth studio album faced some delays due to the pandemic, which prevented some members and instrumentalists from traveling to finalize the recordings.
Furthermore, the vocalist explained that "it doesn't make sense" to release an album without a tour planned . With shows finally being rescheduled in some parts of the world, the project will be available to fans before the return to the stage, scheduled for the Northern Hemisphere summer, that is, from June 2022.
