Last Friday, the 18th, renowned bassist Luis Mariutti presented his Bass Show in São Paulo, in an evening celebrating his musical career.
The performance, held at La Iglesia , brought together admirers of the musician's work, especially from his landmark periods with the bands Angra and Shaman , in a more intimate setting, while still showcasing his own original work.
Furthermore, although the event was a tribute to his own career, Mariutti also made room to recognize new talents in the final of the Mariutti Team Sessions, a competition that offered various prizes, including a musical production signed by the bassist himself.
For the show, the setlist covered the most memorable moments of the bassist's career, highlighting the classics from the bands that made him famous in Brazilian metal.
Furthermore, Mariutti shared the stage with names like Alessandro “Bob” Bernard , from the band Kill for Nothing , Guilherme Hirose , Hugo Mariutti and the Minas Gerais heavy metal band, Medjay , who were also responsible for opening the night.
While not lacking moments of euphoria, the event delivered on its promise: a punctual and respectful performance, geared towards the loyal and nostalgic audience that followed each phase of the artist's career, who attentively met with everyone present after the show.
