The Danish band Lucer releases this Thursday, the 26th, exclusively on Wikimetal , the single “The New World”. The track shares its name with the band's new album, the successor to Ghost Town , from 2019.
“The New World” was accompanied by a lyric video and marks the debut of a series of releases that the band plans to make until the second half of 2021, when the album is expected to be released.
“On the new album, we’ve combined a lot of the rock from our debut album Bring Me Good News [2015] and the approach that was characteristic of our second album Ghost Town ,” vocalist Lasse Bøgemark in a statement released to the press. “It’s our attempt to discover how rock can sound today – while still maintaining its old virtues.”
The album is a collaboration with Christoffer Stjerne who, according to the band, played a crucial role in the change of sound, as he "is not afraid to try new things and challenge himself".
Besides Bøgemark, Lucer consists of Anders Bøgemark and Kristoffer Kristensen on guitars, and Jonathan Nørgaard on drums.
