Their last album was released in October 2014
Lordi announced this week that they will return to the studio in December to record a new album, to be released in 2016. The band's last work, "Scare Force One," was released in October of last year.
Regarding the relatively short interval between the next and the last album, the band's leader, Mr. Lordi, commented: “If you look at the 70s, bands like Kiss were releasing two albums a year. I have no idea how they did it. Maybe the world was a little smaller back then. But we thought, 'why wait?' We create new music all the time, and we have the positive problem of already having 40 to 60 demo songs. We have to choose 13, which is a problem, albeit a positive one. So why wait?”
“Scare Force One” was produced by Mikko Karmila and released by AFM Records.
