Metal can greatly benefit from encountering elements of other musical genres and different cultures. Proof of this in the new generation of bands is the unique and powerful sound of LohArano , which demonstrates the full extent of the power of a unique sound on stage.

The trio from Madagascar, Africa, has a bold proposition: mixing rock, punk, metal, and Malagasy rhythms. The band's name means "the source," expressing LohArano's fundamental connection to their own ancestry and culture, with a hypnotic stage presence and vocals.

All of these elements were explored on the band's debut album, called LohAmboto , which was already featured on Wikimetal 's Groover Discoveries list for its unique sound, with irresistible weight and groove.

In early June, LohArano released a live recording capable of elevating the experience to another level with their live performance of "Sidina," showcasing the band's power and how hypnotic the trio's performance is in person. Check it out below.
