Live Nation, the world's largest concert promoter, will require vaccination and testing of audiences.

The production company wants to encourage as many people as possible to get vaccinated

Live Nation the world's largest concert promoter, has authorized its artists to require fans to have a COVID-19 vaccination or test negative for the disease if they wish to attend their shows.

The news was released in a best practices letter that the production company sent to the music industry. “We are working to ensure that we return in the best possible way for staff, artists, fans and communities in general,” they wrote in the letter (via Ultimate Classic Rock ).

“Our teams worked together to implement new processes so that artists performing with Live Nation in the U.S. can require all attendees and staff to be fully vaccinated or present a negative test result for entry, where permitted by law.”

The production company also cited Lollapalooza Chicago , which it also organizes, saying that it used this exact measure to ensure the safety of the audience and staff. "People are eager to return to live events and we hope these measures will encourage even more people to get vaccinated."

"This is the first thing anyone can do to take care of the people around them, and we are encouraging as many programs as possible to adopt this model."
