We're really missing concerts and festivals.
However, our health and the health of everyone else should be the priority, as some health experts agree, stating that large events should only return at the end of next year . However, the CEO of the giant concert production company, Live Nation , Michael Rapino , has plans to gradually bring shows back as quickly as possible.
According to Variety , in a conversation with investors, Rapino expressed his desire to hold sporadic shows with reduced capacity over the next six months, with the goal of starting next year with shows at normalized frequency and capacity.
For these short-term plans, the CEO presented several scenarios, including something similar to what Suicide Silence will do , performing shows without fans present, but making them available live. Drive-in type shows, which are already happening , could be an option, as well as outdoor performances, if there is space for everyone to be safe.
Regarding major artists, accustomed to performing in stadiums and arenas, Rapino says that one option is to hold shows in smaller venues, but with tickets being sold at a high price.
