Listen to The Lemon Song
The new compilation “She Rocks, Volume 1”, produced by Steve Vai and Brad Tolinski (editor of Guitar World magazine), which brings together 11 great female rock guitarists, will be released on January 20th. One of the tracks, a version of The Lemon Song recorded with Lita Ford, can be heard below. The guitarist was accompanied by an all-female Led Zeppelin cover band, Lez Zeppelin.
Vai commented on the project: “Over the years, women have become increasingly interested in playing guitar. It’s incredible to see that. Favored Nations [Steve Vai’s record label] is very excited to work with producer Brad Tolinski and create a compilation featuring many of the women who are evolving the instrument in very powerful ways.”
