Singer and songwriter Lisa Marie Presley died after being hospitalized for a heart attack. Elvis Presley was 54 years old.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share this devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," read the statement from her mother, Priscilla Presley .
"She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to cope with this profound loss. Thank you for your prayers and love. There will be no further statements at this time."
Golden Globe Awards ceremony last Tuesday. They were there to support Austin Butler , who won the award for best actor for his performance in the film Elvis .
In his acceptance speech, Butler acknowledged the presence of both women: “To the Presley family, thank you so much for opening your hearts, your memories, and your home to me. Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever.”
Lisa Marie had lost her son Benjamin , Elvis Presley's grandson, in 2020.
