"It's been a rollercoaster of grief, heartbreak, and denial."

This Friday, the 20th, marks one year since we lost Chester Bennington , the vocalist of Linkin Park , and the band posted a tribute to him on social media.

“It’s been a rollercoaster of grief, heartbreak, denial, and acceptance,” they wrote, “And yet it feels like you’re still here, surrounding us with your memories and your light. You had a unique spirit and a special place in our hearts.”

"We are eternally grateful for the love, the life, and all the creative passion you shared with us and the world. We miss you so much that we can't even express it in words."

Dave “Phoenix” Farrell , the band's bassist, also remembered and paid tribute to Bennington on Instagram. “Not a day has gone by that I haven’t thought about you. I miss you and it hurts not having you here.”

"And today, a year after your death, I struggle trying to express what you mean to your family, friends, fans… and me. I have so many feelings and so much I could say and would like to say, but I don't know how… But one thing I'm sure of is that you are loved and we miss you."
