After introducing Emily Armstrong as the new lead vocalist of Linkin Park during a live stream , the band kicked off their tour with a show at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The setlist included hits and rarities.

This was the group's first show since 2017, when they performed at an event honoring iconic vocalist Chester Bennington, who passed away that year.

Following rumors of a comeback, the band teased fans with a clue inside a countdown timer that then began counting down to the 100-hour mark where it started. The exclusive fan event was announced, still shrouded in mystery, as many believed Linkin Park would reveal their new vocalist.

Emily Armstrong, from Dead Sara , has been revealed as Bennington's successor, ushering in a new era for Linkin Park along with the release of the new single "The Emptiness Machine" and the announcement of the new album From Zero for November 15th.

The Los Angeles show is the first in a series of dates that includes performances in several cities around the world. Learn more about the tour by clicking here.

Setlist

At the show, Linkin Park opened with the Meteora , "Somewhere I Belong," and it was the first time they had started a show with that track.

As for rarities, “When They Come For Me” was played for the first time since 2014, while “Given Up” hadn’t been played since 2015. Linkin Park went back in time and added “My December” back to the setlist for the first time since 2008.

“Keys to the Kingdom,” from The Hunting Party ’s 2014 album, made its live debut, as did “Friendly Fire,” a previously unreleased track featuring Chester Bennington that appeared on this year’s compilation Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2003) . It was originally recorded in 2017 during the One More Light sessions.
