Botafogo rejected a proposal to host a Linkin Park concert at its stadium

After the announcement of the venues where Linkin Park will perform on their upcoming visit to Brazil, many fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the absence of Rio de Janeiro from the confirmed cities. According to Nicola's channel , the show in the capital of Rio de Janeiro was supposed to take place at the Nilton Santos stadium, also known as Engenhão and the home of Botafogo.

As previously reported, holding a concert at the venue in November was vetoed due to concerns about potential disruptions to the club's schedule during crucial stages of the 2025 championships. The fear of losing home advantage at key moments weighed heavily on the board's decision, which opted to preserve the pitch and the team's logistics.

São Paulo FC has confirmed the Linkin Park concert at Morumbi Stadium for November 8th, the day before the second leg of the Copa do Brasil final. The date choice has generated criticism from fans, who fear it will impact the team's performance. Despite this, the São Paulo club will receive over R$ 3 million for hosting the event, which helped justify the decision internally.
