Linkin Park and bassist Kyle Christner have amicably settled the royalties lawsuit filed by the former band member in California federal court.

The lawsuit involved Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, and Joseph Hahn , leaving out the late vocalist, Chester Bennington . The lawsuit also named Machine Shop Entertainment and Warner Records .

"We are pleased to announce that we have reached an amicable resolution with bassist Kyle Christner," said a Linkin Park spokesperson.

The former bassist cited his involvement in the band's audition for Warner Records , which helped them secure their recording contract. Furthermore, he claimed to have collaborated on the composition of over 20 of the band's songs.

The band acknowledged the importance of Kyle's brief participation, which occurred during 1999. The band's spokesperson said:

“Kyle is a very talented musician who made valuable contributions to Linkin Park at a crucial time in 1999. He performed with the band at several shows and many record label auditions. Kyle helped write and played on many songs from that era, including some of the songs featured on Hybrid Theory .”

Kyle claimed to have a stake in most of the content included in the box set commemorating the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album , which was not proven in court. The agreement between both parties only included the rights to three demo songs and three songs from Hybrid Theory , totaling six tracks.
