Hybrid Theory , the iconic debut album by Linkin Park, has just reached the milestone of 12 platinum records, 20 years after its release.
The album, released on October 24, 2000, helped shape the rock of the then-new generation and has now surpassed twelve million copies sold. The group achieved diamond certification in 2005 when the album reached ten million sales.
With hits like “One Step Closer”, “Crawling”, “Papercut” and “In The End”, the album officially reached the milestone on September 11th and now, amidst celebrations of its two decades since release, the group receives the honors.
