Linkin Park releases teaser for unreleased song featuring vocals by Chester Bennington; listen here

The song was recorded during the 'One More Light' period (2017)

Linkin Park released a snippet of an unreleased song on social media featuring the late Chester Bennington One More Light album era (2017).

The teaser, shown as the final slide in a 10-image carousel Instagram post, claims to be a "new and never-before-seen clip from the One More Light 2017 sessions." The number "04" appears at the end of the teaser.

In 2020, it was announced that "Friendly Fire" had been finalized and mixed, but was not included on One More Light.

Fans are speculating that they may release something soon, as they have started posting images of their previous releases and song lyrics in a vibrant shade of green on Instagram. The teaser for "Friendly Fire" was also posted in the same shade of green, and the caption features a green circle.

The band's images on Spotify now contain the same green hue. And some of their music videos on YouTube currently have a green dot in the thumbnails, as pointed out by fans on Reddit. The band's profile pictures on the web are also framed in green.

Although the surviving members of Linkin Park haven't performed together on stage since the Bennington tribute concert in October 2017, following his death in July, the band continues to work. They spent 2023 celebrating their second album, Meteora from 2003, with an anniversary reissue and unreleased songs, such as "Lost".

In 2020, the band released a 20th-anniversary edition of their 2000 debut, Hybrid Theory . Bonus content includes previously released B-sides and live tracks, as well as unreleased demos and other material that appeared for the first time on this reissue.

Listen to “Friendly Fire” below. The song appears at the end of the carousel.
