The meeting between Mike Shinoda and Phoenix took place at a Halloween show.
Even though uncertainty remains about the future of Linkin Park , fans got a taste of what it could have been like. Mike Shinoda and bassist Dave 'Phoenix' Farrell reunited at Mike's last show in Las Vegas, a Halloween special.
Overall, it was a fun night for the rapper and multi-instrumentalist. Shinoda dressed up as the members of Run-DMC and opened the show with a snippet of the group's "It's Tricky." Later, Farrell appeared, also wearing a Run-DMC t-shirt, and played the classic "Papercut" by Linkin Park.
Phoenix's return came towards the end of the show, when they played together "Iridescent," "Castle of Glass," and "Good Goodbye/Bleed It Out," from the band. The encore also featured Shinoda's hits "Make It Up as I Go," "Remember the Name," and concluded with "Running From My Shadow."
After the show, Mike posted some photos from the night on social media and thanked Phoenix. A short video of Shinoda singing Run-DMC's "It's Tricky" was also released.

The incredibly, stupidly hysterical Halloween Intro, which probably helped with my emotional status of my first #PostTraumaticTour show of the west coast run. 😂😅 pic.twitter.com/9MGbBjBNFl
