To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Meteora (2003) , Linkin Park announced the release of a special box set that will be available in stores and on streaming services on April 7th. The reissue includes a deluxe version with previously unreleased tracks taken from the album's archives.
One of these tracks is the previously unreleased “Lost,” released this Friday, the 10th, as a gift for fans. “Finding this track was like finding a favorite photo you forgot you took, as if it were waiting for the right moment to reveal itself,” comments Mike Shinoda in a statement.
“For years, fans have been asking us to release something with Chester [ Bennington , the beloved vocalist who passed away in 2017] voice, and I’m so happy we were able to do it in such a special way,” he continues. “I think they’re going to be blown away when they hear and see all the incredible unreleased songs and video material on Meteora 20. ”
The special Meteora 20 will feature six unreleased tracks (via Billboard ), including "Lost," as well as demos, live concert footage, B-sides, and previously unreleased video material from the band. The project will be released in digital format, a super deluxe box set, a deluxe vinyl box set, and a 3-CD deluxe set. Visit the band's website for more information.
