Linkin Park 's unreleased song , " Lost," reached Spotify's Global Top 50 shortly after its release.
The track is part of the unreleased material from the album Meteora (2003), which turns 20 in 2023. As a way to celebrate the album's anniversary, Linkin Park released the never-before-heard song featuring vocals by Chester Bennington , accompanied by an animated music video.
According to chart data , "Lost" debuted on Spotify's Global Top 50 at number 21, with almost 3 million streams (2.878M). On YouTube, the official music video has already garnered over 16 million views, one week after its release.
According to Mike Shinoda , the track was taken from the Meteora (2003) archives and was not altered, even though it was made 20 years ago. “The philosophy was – don’t mess with it. Present it the way it was originally intended to be presented. If you don’t need to mix it, don’t mix it. So we followed that,” he revealed.
In addition to "Lost," Linkin Park announced a special reissue of their 2003 album featuring unreleased material including demos, exclusive recordings, and five other previously unheard tracks. Learn more .
