Linkin Park kicked off their highly anticipated South American tour last weekend with a moment that has already gone down in the band’s recent history. At the show on Saturday (25), held at Vive Claro in Bogotá, Colombia, the band invited singer Poppy , the opening act , to the stage for a special performance of the classic “One Step Closer”.

Poppy is scheduled to open all of the band's shows on this leg of the tour. Furthermore, the special guest appearance ignited the audience, explosively marking the first night of a series of dates scheduled across the continent.

According to NME , the iconic moment occurred during the second act of the show. The band, which divided the performance into four distinct parts, reserved the classic track from the album Hybrid Theory for this segment.

Poppy joined Mike Shinoda and the rest of the band, taking on the heavier vocal parts and iconic screams of the track. She delivered the classic chorus: "'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge / And I'm about to break," while Shinoda handled the cleaner parts of the chorus, such as "Everything that you say to me."

Thus, the opening night in Bogotá featured a robust setlist, blending classics and recent material from the band.

Divided into four acts, the show began with a powerful sequence, including tracks such as 'Somewhere I Belong', 'Points of Authority', 'Up From the Bottom', 'Crawling', and the most recent 'The Emptiness Machine'. The collaboration with Poppy was the highlight of the second act of the performance.
