Now, in an interview with the Chilean portal Futuro , Shinoda gave his opinion on what the fans thought of the changes in the band, marking a rebirth. “An exciting moment. It’s a kind of rebirth for the band. We started getting together a few years ago, in a slow and organic process. We never thought about returning immediately. Several things had to go right for it to happen. We are excited about the new music, the tour, and how the fans have reacted,” he said [transcription via Blabbermouth ].

Regarding Armstrong, the Linkin Park guitarist also stated that he considers her "a total phenomenon" and that her voice "is unique" within her generation. The multi-instrumentalist cited a "different experience" working with the singer, who is also the frontman of Dead Sara .

“I’ve had experiences with many different and talented singers, I’ve done shows with many talented artists, but there’s something different when people walk into a room and create something together. You notice a different vibe. That’s what we felt with her and Colin. We realized we wanted to do more with them because it was so much fun hanging out with them and we always did good things together.”
