With the future of Linkin Park after the death of vocalist Chester Bennington , Mike Shinoda revealed, to the delight of fans, that the band has an unreleased song featuring Bennington's vocals.
“There was a song – a song from One More Light that… we mixed more [songs] than are on the final album and mixed some other songs just to see if one of them would make the cut or whatever – if we could use it for the B-side and it was 'Friendly Fire',” Shinoda said on Twitch , a platform he has been frequently using during quarantine to play games or record music with virtual fans.
Mike even wondered if the band had already released the track before, and a fan confirmed that they hadn't and asked them to release it immediately. But the artist replied that, even though he loved the song, fans would literally have to wait years to hear it. How mean, Mike!
