The mysterious countdown Linkin Park website has finally ended, but a new mystery awaits fans.
The result wasn't an advertisement, as had been speculated, but rather a fun type of puzzle reminiscent of the investigation games that were very popular in the 2000s.
Currently, the site requires a login using the user's Spotify or Apple Music and then takes you to a virtual room where numerous clues are scattered. Some objects are clickable and contain useful information for new stages of the mystery, and new items are unlocked with each riddle solved.
One of the stages is a Wordle , where you have to discover the word of the day. Apparently, each word is related to some object in the virtual room that hides a new clue for the puzzle.
It's still unclear how long the game will remain online or what awaits Linkin Park fans at the end, but on one of the walls of the set, a platinum record for Meteora (2003), which turns 20 in March, can be seen, reinforcing suspicions that the announcement may be related to the album's anniversary.
Loudwire has compiled a list of mysteries solved by them, but if you want to figure out the riddle yourself, just visit the official Linkin Park website by clicking here .
