Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson , despite being an official member of the band and having recorded the hit "From Zero ," chose to step away from performing live due to his mental health.
In an interview with Guitar Player , Delson recounts what it was like to watch the band's show without him.
“It’s a different and really cool experience in a way, because I’ve never been able to see the show in real time. If you’re on stage, you can’t really pay attention to what’s happening. I remember being at the Forum in Los Angeles and just enjoying it. We put a lot of love into creating the show.”
Even though he's not participating in the concerts themselves, the guitarist is keen to emphasize that his involvement with the band is real, clarifying that he participated in the development of the current tour: “Even though I'm not on stage, I'm still intimately involved. I helped design the setlist and the entire flow of the show; we talk about it every day. It's a huge labor of love.”
Alex Feder took over the new position as guitarist during the band's shows, and Collin Brittain replaced Rob Bourdon .
The band performed at Allianz Parque in São Paulo on November 15th and 16th. The shows were recorded and will be shown in cinemas in 2025. Linkin Park will also return to Brazil in November 2025 for their final four tour dates: Rio de Janeiro on the 8th, São Paulo on the 10th, Brasília on the 13th, and finally, Porto Alegre on the 15th.
