Cradle of Filth will be undergoing a lineup change. It has been announced that keyboardist Lindsay Schoolcraft has left the band.
The separation appears to have been a mutual decision, with Lindsay ending a seven-year period with the group.
In her statement, the keyboardist wrote: “It has been an honor and a pleasure to meet you online, in person, and on stage over the last 7 years. But, I am here to inform you of my departure from the band. It was a difficult decision to make, but I assure you it is the best choice for my well-being and my mental health,” she explained.
“I want to extend a huge thank you to the band for letting me be a part of the Cradle of Filth legacy. It was incredible and I’m so grateful that we shared this together.” She also said that her music career continues with her other two projects.
Frontman Dani Filth also spoke about leaving:
“It’s very difficult for everyone in the band, as we’ve become a very close-knit family. But, ultimately, it stems from the need for both her mental health and our musical development going forward. Of course, we will miss Lindsay very much,” he said.
He even called her "our little (gothic, Canadian, vegan) sister.".
"I hope you all continue to support her career. Although it truly marks the end of an era, it's also the fragrant promise of another."
According to Filth, Lindsay's successor has already been chosen and is already working on the band's next release, which is expected to be released by the end of 2020.
