Light the Torch is back with their first single since their debut album, Revival , released in 2018. Formerly known as Devil You Know ., the band released “Wilting in the Light” and announced the release of their next album.
Released last Friday, April 9th, the single features melodic metal and a powerful chorus, reflecting the turbulent circumstances during the recording period. In addition to the pandemic, the band members faced personal difficulties during the creative process.
“This album is special to me in a different way. From writing the music during one of the most difficult times of my life, while dealing with a serious injury from a car accident, to being obsessively involved with every aspect of the production, recording, and creating the artwork,” commented guitarist Francesco Artusato, who is also responsible for the album cover. “It’s hard to describe how I feel and, finally, to see this album getting ready for release.”
Created by Howard James , former vocalist of Killswitch Engage , the band will release the album You Will Be The Death of Me on June 25th via Nuclear Blast . See cover art and tracklist below.
