Liam Gallagher of Oasis recently sent fans into a state of euphoria by indicating, via X (formerly Twitter), that the band was working on a new studio album and that the new songs his brother Noel Gallagher was composing were incredible, as transcribed (via Radio Rock ) .

However, this was just a joke on his part, as he informed a user on the social network.

Speculation gained more traction recently when the Oasis World wrote on Saturday, November 16th: “The brothers have been working intensely on a new Oasis album. While Noel works in his studio, Liam has been recording vocals remotely and sending them to his brother for approval. Inside sources reveal that the new songs are spectacular.”

In response, the vocalist commented on the post: “Let’s all calm down, there’s no new Oasis album being made. I was just kidding, for fuck’s sake. Remember that. The reason is that everyone’s been kind of tense lately. Sorry if I offended anyone, but fuck it, it’s just a joke.”

This is the first time Gallagher has denied producing a new album for the band. However, the vocalist had also said, via X, in September 2024, that the new album was already finished .
