"Do I like Queen? No."
Liam Gallagher was interviewed by Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins for Magnet magazine, and he commented on what he thinks of Queen.
“Do I like Queen? No. I mean, I know Freddie Mercury has a good voice and all that, and of course they have incredible songs. But I think they're a bit too much like Queen. You know, they're a great band and they have great songs, but I don't know, man. It sounds like Brian May's guitar is stuffing your ass (…) I respect him and all that, but I don't know, man.”
Hawkins takes the opportunity to ask what his favorite bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s are, and Liam replies that he likes Guns N' Roses and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
When recalling grunge, he mentions that he listens to some Nirvana songs but isn't a big fan of Pearl Jam.
