On the evening of last Saturday, the 23rd, Lenny Kravitz kicked off the Latin American leg of his Blue Electric Light with a show at Allianz Parque in São Paulo.

Before he took the stage, Liniker , Liane La Havas , and Frejat were responsible for the opening acts.

Navigating through a large part of his discography, the musician brought a mix of his greatest hits, lesser-known songs, and even new tracks from his most recent album, which gives the tour its name, released this year.

The show stands out not only for the high quality of the music, but also for the performance Kravitz delivers, entertaining and captivating the audience, even in a stadium with significantly less than its maximum capacity.

Ripping guitar solos, earth-shaking drums, and flawless vocals are perhaps the best way to describe the night. Something that greatly enhances the melodic aspect of the songs are the backing vocals, which create an extra surface for Kravitz to unleash his voice.

One song that perfectly exemplifies the power of his voice is "Minister Of Rock N' Roll," in which the vocalist gave a real show and demonstrated considerable skill and control.

It took a while for the audience to truly engage with the show and sing along, leaving behind good tracks like "I'm a Believer". After a speech about how much he loved Brazil, came "I Belong To You", a track that began to excite the crowd, setting the stage for "Stillness Of Heart", which provided the emotional moment when everyone stopped playing and, with only acoustic guitars, the fans took over the vocals.

“Believe” and “Human” showcased guitarist Craig Ross . The latter shifted the atmosphere to a more disco-influenced sound compared to the former.

The setlist was well chosen, as it allowed for a mix of songs from different styles and rhythms, but always with the catchy groove and danceable beat that Kravitz's tracks possess. Even with excellent tracks like "Paralyzed," the audience remained lukewarm for much of the show, especially when the less famous songs were played.

It was with "It Ain't Over Til It's Over" that the string of hits began. The simple introduction was enough for her to be recognized. "Again," "Always On The Run," "American Woman," "Fly Away," and "Are You Gonna Go My Way" were special, each in its own way. All the band members complement each other and work together to create a completely immersive experience.

Even though the biggest hits were concentrated in the final part of the show, the entire performance deserves praise and recognition. The band's quality is extremely high, but what truly impresses and steals the show is, obviously, the vocalist. It's impossible not to get excited or emotional during the performance, which constantly surprised.

What happened on the night of November 23rd was a flawless show. The delivery of a perfect, error-free performance is the main highlight. Lenny Kravitz and his band left an indelible mark on the memories of those who experienced that night.
