Lemmy Kilmister Motörhead legend , will have a new film about his career, according to Deadline , scheduled for release in early 2021, depending on the stage of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the publication, Greg Olliver , who directed the 2010 documentary about the artist, Lemmy , is also involved in the new production. The film will show Lemmy's life from his childhood, becoming a roadie for Jimi Hendrix , to his stage career with Hawkwind , and later with Motörhead.

“Everything you’ve heard about Lemmy is probably true… not because he was adopting rock n’ roll clichés, but because he created them,” said Olliver. “Marlboro Reds and Jack Daniel’s for breakfast, speed for dinner – all true. But behind that steely-eyed rock n’ roll facade was also an attractive, complicated, and lion-hearted man who stayed the course and never gave up playing the music that made him happy. We’ve carefully developed this biopic since 2013, making sure to remain true to Lemmy, to Motörhead band members Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee, and to all the other people who played important roles in Lemmy’s life. It will be a film that everyone will be proud of.”

“It’s a story of immense cultural importance,” added executive producers Steffan Chirazi and Todd Singerman , “If the last five years of his absence have taught us anything, it’s that he was more unique than anyone could ever imagine, because nobody touches the quality and pure freedom of a man. Greg is a deeply trusted part of our circle, and we are very pleased to see this film come to fruition.”
