Third show canceled in a week
Motörhead interrupted another show last night (the 1st) due to Lemmy's health. The Austin show is the third in a week that Motörhead has had to cancel, following shows in Salt Lake City and Denver last week.
Last night, the band played three songs before leaving the stage. Shortly before the performance of Metropolis , Lemmy explained to the audience that he was ill. When announcing the song, Lemmy even played the beginning before announcing "I can't" and leaving the stage.
The band's leader returned to the stage a few minutes later, with a cane, to explain to the audience: “You are one of the best audiences in America, and I would love to play for you, but I can't… Please accept my apologies. Maybe next time, okay?” The video of the incident can be seen below.
Since July 2013, Lemmy has suffered from complications related to diabetes and hematomas, which has caused the cancellation of several tours since then. Motörhead, however, released their 22nd album, " Bad Magic ," this week, which is now available on iTunes .
