Boy was sent to the principal's office for wearing a band sweatshirt
Student Taylor Mathes was sent to his school's principal's office last week for wearing a Motörhead . According to a post the boy made on Facebook, the school argued that his sweatshirt was associated with a gang.
After posting on Motörhead's official Facebook page, the band contacted Mathes. On the page , the band wrote:
“We talked to Taylor and we support him 100%! He’s a great kid and we’re going to send him a package of Motörhead merchandise so he can continue to wear his favorite band with pride. We’re with you, Taylor! Motörhead for life!”
Along with the merchandise, Taylor received a letter from Lemmy himself: “Taylor, thank you for your defense of Motörhead. I’m glad we’re still worth it! Never let others bring you down! Lemmy .
Motörhead is set to release their next album, “Aftershock,” in October. Check out the cover art and tracklist here .
