Blackie Lawless , frontman of WASP , has a collection of stories alongside major world personalities throughout his career, including idols like Lemmy Kilmister : the two had some disagreements, but also shared moments of frank conversations.

“I loved Lemmy. We came to blows once, over something personal. I wanted something and he didn’t want to give it to me [laughs]. With everyone you’re in a relationship with, that’s going to happen from time to time,” Lawless told Louder Sound .

One of the most interesting aspects of this relationship is the observation that Lemmy "was more sensitive than people imagine"—and didn't always feel like the legendary figure he became.

One night, after going out for a few drinks, Lemmy started talking about not getting enough recognition and complaining that he wasn't "bigger" and more prestigious given his career achievements, but Blackie Lawless wouldn't listen.

“I don’t want to hear that. You’re the godfather of this whole scene, and yet you’re telling me you’re not getting your share? If you came here looking for empathy, you’re in the wrong place, because you’re not going to get that from me,” the WASP vocalist replied, according to the account. After this firm response, Lemmy dropped the subject. “He stayed quiet and everything was fine for the rest of the night,” he concluded.
