Led Zeppelin requests reimbursement for expenses related to the Stairway To Heaven case and is denied

The case was won in June

Stairway To Heaven plagiarism case announced yesterday that he was denying Led Zeppelin's request for reimbursement of £793,000 spent on their defense. The band cited misconduct by Francis Malofiy, the lawyer representing the composer of the song Taurus , Randy Wolfe.

The judge's denial explains that Warner/Chappell Music is not entitled to a refund because the case against them was not frivolous.

Led Zeppelin won the case in June, after 15 minutes of jury deliberation. The band issued a statement thanking the jury for ending “the doubts about the origin of Stairway to Heaven and confirming what we have known for 45 years.”
