The Led Zeppelin documentary is set to premiere at Cannes
Led Zeppelin documentary is currently in post-production. The as-yet-untitled film is directed by Bernard MacMahon , who helmed the Emmy-nominated American Epic
It will feature interviews with guitarist Jimmy Page, vocalist Robert Plant , and bassist John Paul Jones , as well as rare footage with the late drummer John Bonham . This is the first time Led Zeppelin has been featured in a documentary about the band.
The film will premiere at Cannes and is being called "the definitive story of the birth of the world's most lucrative rock band." It will be told entirely from the band's perspective.
Regarding the release, Page said he knew Bernard was a good choice to tell the story. " American Epic is a remarkable achievement."
Jones added: “The time was right for us to tell our story for the first time. In our own words, I think the film will bring it all to life.”
