The species Prismantis ledzeppelin was found in the Cordillera del Cóndor, between Ecuador and Peru

After spider species named after Andre Matos , Klaus Meine , and Bruce Dickinson , crabs honoring Nightwish , and a snake species named after James Hetfield Led Zeppelin's turn to lend its name to a new species of frog.

Researchers David Brito-Zapata and Carolina Reyes-Puig registered the new discovery as Pristimantis ledzeppelin . The small frog was discovered in the Cordillera del Cóndor, located in the Andes between Ecuador and Peru, can grow up to 3.6 cm and has reddish eyes and multicolored skin (in shades of yellow, brown, black and orange).

Led Zeppelin's lead singer, Robert Plant , commented on the discovery on Twitter and made a reference to guitarist Robert Johnson .
