The musician passed away in September 1980.
Legendary drummer John Bonham Led Zeppelin was honored in his hometown last Thursday, the 31st, the day he would have turned 70.
The town of Redditch, England, received a statue of the musician where he appears behind a bronze drum kit covered in anti-graffiti paint to preserve the tribute. You can check out the photos below.
Its foundation was inspired by Led Zeppelin's album Houses Of The Holy and carries the following message: “The most incredible and original drummer of his time. His popularity and influence continue to resonate in the world of music and beyond.”
Bonham died on September 25, 1980, at the age of 32 after suffering from poisoning. In December of that year, Led Zeppelin announced the end of the band.
