The new version was overseen by Jimmy Page

Led Zeppelin prepared a beautiful celebration for their 50-year career. With the re-release of the album How To The West Was Won (2003) and an illustrated book exploring the band's history, the celebrations have only just begun.

On September 7th, the group will release a remastered version of The Song Remains The Same , the soundtrack to the film of the same name. The date was chosen because it marks the first time John Bonham , John Paul Jones , Jimmy Page , and Robert Plant took the stage together in 1968. Called The New Yardbirds at the time, the band would debut in the studio shortly after, to work on the recording of Led Zeppelin.

The Song Remains The Same will be available in several formats: the Super Deluxe Boxed Set will have the complete film and soundtrack available in the same package for the first time. In the four-LP set, Page made a change to the track order, allowing the 29-minute version of “Dazed And Confused” to be available in its entirety on vinyl, also for the first time.
