The battle over the copyright of Led Zeppelin seems far from over.
After Michael Skidmore sued the British band in 2014, claiming, on behalf of guitarist Randy California , that Led Zeppelin's 1971 classic infringed on the copyright of the 1968 track "Taurus" by the band Spirit , of which California was a member, alleging that the chord progression of the track was inspired by them after the bands toured together.
In 2016, the judge ruled that the British had not committed the acts Skidmore had accused them of, and in 2018, a new trial was scheduled, and at the beginning of this year, the result in favor of Zeppelin was repeated. However, Michael and Randy seem determined not to give up on the case, having recently requested another review of the proceedings.
