The leader of As I Lay Dying was arrested yesterday
As I Lay Dying's lead singer, Tim Lambesis, was arrested yesterday afternoon, accused of soliciting the murder of his wife.
San Diego authorities had been working on the case since last week, when an anonymous tip indicated that Lambesis was looking for someone to commit a murder. The arrest, however, only occurred when Lambesis made a formal request for an undercover detective yesterday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the city's police department said a major tragedy had been averted. The vocalist is expected to appear in court either today or tomorrow for the charges to be formally filed.
Lambesis' wife, Meggan, had filed for divorce in September.
