Following the success of the three-part documentary The Beatles: Get Back Disney+ platform , part of the work directed by Peter Jackson will now arrive on cinema screens in IMAX.
The Beatles: Get Back – The Rooftop Concert is a 60-minute feature film containing exclusively the legendary Beatles rooftop concert at Apple Corps. While the performance can also be seen throughout the documentary, the three episodes also contain exclusive footage of the recording and songwriting process for what would become the Beatles' final album, Let It Be (1970).
The film opens in US theaters on January 30th, marking exactly 53 years since the historic 1969 performance. Tickets can be purchased here , but there is no information yet regarding possible screenings in other countries.
“I’m thrilled that the rooftop concert from The Beatles: Get Back will be experienced in IMAX on that giant screen,” Peter Jackson commented in a statement. “It was the Beatles’ last concert and it’s the perfect way to see and hear it.”
