Lars talks about Metallica's misconceptions
In an interview with Chilean channel Sonar FM, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich was asked what the biggest misconception the public has about the band. Ulrich replied:
“After the whole Napster issue, there’s a prejudice that Metallica is greedy, money-hungry, or driven by money, things like that. That’s a very wrong idea. Also, there’s the idea that Metallica doesn’t care about technology. That’s very wrong; I have 37 Apple products in my carry-on bag alone.”.
Ulrich also spoke about his relationship with James Hetfield, saying that their friendship is better than ever now: “We don’t fight to win an argument anymore. We rarely argue about anything; we try to see each other’s point of view much more. That’s called growing up. We’re in a very good place. Much more mature than we’ve ever been, basically.”
