The drummer was questioned by the Mexican reporter

During Metallica's visit to Mexico City, where the band played 3 shows, drummer and founder of Metallica, Lars Ulrich, was a guest on the program "Las Estrellas".

Interviewer Paula Rojas asked the drummer what he thought of Donald Trump's controversial idea of building a wall separating Mexico from the US. Lars replied:

“I don’t think the world needs walls. I think we need to bring people closer together. Metallica travels all over the world and through music, we try to unite people. Whether in Mexico or Asia or Europe or anywhere else, we encourage as many people from different backgrounds as possible to come together and share music, life, culture, and all those experiences. Being Danish, I don’t think we need walls.”.
