The band is busy with other projects
In an interview with a South African channel, drummer Lars Ulrich said that a new Metallica album is still a long way off.
Contradicting rumors that a new CD would be released in 2014, Lars said: “I would be surprised if a new album came out before 2015. We took a long time to compose an album and we are busy with other things at the moment. But we will do it eventually.”
Metallica is currently working on their next release, the 3D film Through The Never . The film is scheduled to premiere in IMAX theaters in October.
