In an interview with a Danish journalist, Lars Ulrich spoke about his nationality and issues surrounding the US election, commenting that if Republican candidate Donald Trump wins the election, the musician might return to his native country
“I am 100% a Danish citizen. I pay taxes in the US but I can’t vote here.”
Asked if he would return to Denmark if Trump wins, Ulrich replies:
“Yes, certainly, sometimes I think about going back to Denmark. I still have my Danish passport. If Trump becomes president and everything goes to hell, I can go to the airport and ask if I can go back.”.
