Lars Ulrich has never hidden the fact that he has always had a good and peaceful life. His father, Torben Ulrich , was a successful professional tennis player in the 1960s and 1970s, and his financial situation allowed him a privileged education and lifestyle.

The house where Lars spent his childhood in Denmark is for sale for US$6.85 million according to Loudwire (approximately R$35 million). Built in 1907 and designed by renowned Danish architect Carl Brummer , the multi-story house has belonged to several members of the Danish elite, including cultural figures, musicians, and athletes. In addition to large windows, wooden floors, and a distinctive design, it features an outdoor area with a backyard, shed, and greenhouse.

“This is where I spent 17 years,” said Lars as he looked around the house. The drummer commented that his father would sit on the porch listening to Miles Davis and John Coltrane , and that it was a very friendly and fun environment away from tennis.

Lars acknowledges that his childhood was far from ordinary: “There was nothing typical about it,” the drummer observed. “That’s why when people like James Hetfield and others sit down and talk about their childhoods, this was a completely different universe.”

A few years ago, Lars visited his home and spoke a little about what his childhood was like back then. Check out the video of the visit.
