Lars Ulrich has already been considered as a potential vocalist for Metallica
Metallica covered Judas Priest 's with Lars Ulrich on vocals. The video was recorded in the rehearsal room before a show in 2018.
Interestingly, Lars had already been considered to take over the band's vocals. Jon "Jonny Z" Zazula worked with the band before their debut album. He said that James Hetfield lacked the confidence to be the vocalist. As a possible solution, Ulrich would switch from drums to singing.
