Lars Ulrich chooses players
In an interview on the American show Men In Blazers, which features lighthearted analysis of soccer, the Metallica drummer was asked to assemble his ideal soccer team, made up of musicians. Check out his choices:
– Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple, Rainbow) as center forward: “He’s too stylish to play in any other position”
– Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) as right winger
– Damon Albarn (Blur) as defensive midfielder : “He’s a smart guy, he can handle the defense”
– The Gallagher brothers (Oasis) as full-backs
– Meat Loaf as goalkeeper
